confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to

1:9 And this is
my prayer: that your love may abound more and

CONDUCT 1:27; 2:3
1:27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the
gospel of Christ. 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit,

2:9 Therefore
God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above

heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

7 But whatever
was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more,
I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing
Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.
I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not
having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is
through faith in Christ--the righteousness that comes from God and is by
faith.

3:10 I want to
know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing
in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 14 I press on toward the
goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in
Christ Jesus.
PRESS 3:12-14
3:12 Not that I
have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I
press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13
Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one
thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called
me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
REJOICE 4:4-7
4:4 Rejoice in
the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 6 Do not be anxious about
anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

4:8 Finally,
brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever
is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent
or praiseworthy--think about such things.
STRENGTH 4:11-13,19
11 I am not
saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever
the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is
to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every
situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. 19 And my
God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ
Jesus.
