What Will It Take?
What will it take to follow Jesus for the rest of your life
and finish the race of the Christian walk? How can you prepare
to make a life long commitment to take up the cross serving
Jesus as Lord of your life?
What is required for you to be convinced that you are a
citizen of heaven? No matter where you are with your
relationship with God, how can you set yourself up for a
better eternal harvest? If loving Jesus is really where it’s
at, now is the time to find out how to live in His narrow path
of victory.
If Jesus is who He said He is you, we should all be fully
devoted to Him. If God is God then we should rightly kneel in
awe of Him. What will it take to stay rooted in Christ,
growing and producing fruit as explained in John chapter 15.
Falling in love with Jesus requires placing Him above all
else in our hearts.
Throughout the preparation of this book we constantly asked
ourselves… If we had one hour with a teenager to influence
his or her life for Christ, what would we say? What bible
verses reinforce the perfect nature and character of God? What
formulas and perspectives have true followers of Jesus in the
past embraced as key factors in their relationship with God?
The principles in this book will point you in the right
direction. Once you’re on God's path it is only natural to
fall in love with Jesus. Even if you stumble, remember God is
always with you.
Are you ready to give God the glory of seeing you enjoy the
abundant life He has promised? He delights when we receive the
blessings he has stored up for us.
(Zephaniah 3:17)
He has already poured out His heart from
heaven to you. Won’t you respond in humble acceptance and be
who He intended, do what He has commanded and accept what He
has given.
The following love letter found in scripture should ignite
your spiritual passion and eternal appreciation…
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every
spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him
before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in
his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons
through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and
will--to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has
freely given us in the One he loves.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's
grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
And he made known to us the mystery of his will according
to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be
put into effect when the times will have reached their
fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth
together under one head, even Christ.
In him we were also chosen, having been predestined
according to the plan of him who works out everything in
conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who
were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise
of his glory.
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the
word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having
believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised
Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance
until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the
praise of his glory.
Ephesians 1:3-14
How much more assurance do you need before you invest your
life in a relationship with God? He has lavishly blessed you
eternally in advance and God’s great mercy has also saved
believers from the pit of hell. The more you are reminded
of where you are saved from the more that you can appreciate
heaven and an eternity of fellowship with God.
So bear down, fix your focus and lock in your heart to the
only person that ultimately keeps every promise. It’s time to
do whatever it takes to love Jesus and keep His promises. -
