1-2 Yo Paul here with Timothy, two sold out servants of Christ, coming at ya. Sup?  Peace to all the church leaders and our pals in Philippi.  We're sending out God’s blessings to ya’ll.  3-5 Every time I think of you I give my God thankful kudos and every time I pray for you I get the joy, joy, joy down in my heart. I get all excited because God is always doing a new thang, ever since we started jamming for Jesus together.  6 I'm totally sure that God, who started a tremendous work in you, will get the job done and complete the mission of His perfect plan until the final sequel, that triumphant return comeback, ultimate sky-crack of Jesus!  7 It is totally cool for me to be your big fan, since I hold you close in my heart as companions together sharing the ministry cause and blessings God has given us, even when I am in jail defending and boosting the message of Jesus.  8 God knows how I really miss you in the love of Christ.  9 My prayer for you is that your love may abound, above and beyond status quo, yo, more and more to really get to know Jesus in relevant and meaningful ways, deep in your head and down in your heart. 10-11 The generation that the world does not change is the generation that changes the world, so get ready to figure out how you are a part of this important movement.  Your solid stance on purity, your high standards and your obedience will set you apart shining.  While others may get “left behind”, claim for yourself the blameless life of grace in His mighty power until the big day of Christ.  May this be your creed, “Though none go with me still I will follow.”  You know the secrets of the vine and how to produce much fruit.  Now go out and live life brightly to “see Him high and lifted up, shining in the light of His glory.” 12 Hey guys y’all gotta understand that God is using my experience here all shackled up and illin’, to get the great message of hope out even more. 13 -14 The word is out in all the cellblocks what got me in here.  I’m locked up for God.  People are wondering about this Jesus thing.  It’s a smash hit because of these other bros and sistas in Christ are gettin’ a surge of radical and reckless confidence to go out and share their faith boldly. 15-17 Yeah some are preaching competitively as if this was some sort of contest.  They open their big mouths with selfish motives trying to take my place and even cause some trouble, but others are stepping up to the plate, taking the initiative and swinging for the fence, spreading God’s truth all over then leaving the results in the hands of God with the best motives of love in mind as a tribute to my chains.  18-19 By now who really cares anyway who gets the credit?  The super good news of Jesus is getting out there. That’s what counts and what matters most right now.  I keep rooting them all on regardless.  Along with your prayers the spirit of Jesus is being poured out. This inspires and encourages me tons.  I am super psyched cuz I know God will get me through all this.  20 My great dream and huge hope is that I will never ever, ever be ashamed of Jesus in any way, shape or form. It’s my specific goal to exercise enough guts and confidence that in every chance I get, my body will shine and ‘be the moon’ reflecting my master Jesus both now and as a legacy to leave behind.  21 This is my attitude… The way I see it is… to live is totally Jesus and to die is far out awesome too!  To live is Christ, to die is gain.  Believers get to be with Jesus face to face in heaven, which is the better deal anyway, It's a total win-win situation for a Christian.  Ya can’t lose with Jesus. There is no way dude.  22-26 Meanwhile surge up, cuz territory enlarging opportunities await for serving Jesus with fruitful results in store guaranteed.  It's ironic because if I even had a choice it would be hard to choose knowing what I know about Jesus.  (You can know Him this close too)  I can't wait to be in heaven with God, but hey this is my big chance to serve Him and time is of the essence – these be some tough times.  I'm sure that taking this opportunity to serve God and you is far best.  This way I get to cheer you on and receive updates how y’all are growing strong in the Lord.  And when we do get together again someday that will be a great reunion party.  27 So for now whatever goes down act like the testimony of the good news of Jesus depends on your behavior.  Act as if I have a secret video surveillance on you all the time keeping you accountable in love.  It’s more than just a cliché… Always ask yourself W.W.J.D.!  No matter how I get my news about you be sure to stand strong in spirit side-by-side, shoulder-to-shoulder, bolder and bolder with one another in faith for Christ.  28 Don’t even doubt, second-guess or think for a second about being intimidated by the evil enemy.  Claim the victory.  It’s in the bag baby!  You’re the champ in Christ!  These are obvious warning signs that you'll be the “winning survivor” favored by God himself, while the devil is definitely voted off the island, (so to speak.)  29 Take note: It truly is your benefit and privilege for Christ’s sake to believe and to share in His pain.  Take advantage of this chance and readjust your attitude about suffering and be willing to be conformed to the mold of Jesus.  Don't just wear the "No pain - No gain" Christian T-shirts man, live those messages too.  Be eager to be the ultimate Jesus Freak!  30 This is the same battle you saw me fight through and win.
