Chapter 1 FlipBopJoy.com

1-2 If you are super cool with the awesome blessings of Jesus, if you are cheered up and encouraged because you share with His identity, if God's love has done a number on you in the best of ways, if He has made all the difference in your life, if the Holy Spirit has touched your heart and you appreciate the dynamic blessings and spiritual synergy of hanging out with other Christians, then with a compassionate heart take it to the streets and make me, Paul, a psyched up mentor by being devoted to one another in love with a spirit of grace, unity and purpose.  3-4 With the help of the Holy Spirit filter out motives that are selfish, conceited, arrogant or bossy. Be real. Don't just ride the fence (one foot in the world and one foot with Christ) and play out some spiritually schizophrenic drama performance only for Sunday morning church.  C'mon that double life is no man's land.  Show authentic love like Jesus. Quit manipulating others just to get the upper hand. Step off from your two-faced high horse and humbly put others first before you. God will bless this.  Avoid looking out only for #1.  Be sensitive enough to always consider the well-being, interest and concern of others first.

5 Your dreams and goals, your behavior and testimony, your mindset and attitude should resemble and reflect the supreme spirit Who is In your heart... Jesus!  He is our example of true humility. Be like M.I.K.E.! (the Messiah Incarnate King Eternal) You can live the Christian life if you tap into His power and claim His strength. 6-9 Even though He is the mighty God (and for example the Creator of the entire universe) He did not demand or claim the privileges and rights of being God.  He was a King who switched royalty to be a pauper all for the love He has for you. That makes you super special! Uh huh! He went all out and performed the servanthood role of perfection taking the form of a slave, becoming the human that we are. Thank God because this incarnation was essential for us and for salvation.  Just to come to earth as a baby with a sniffling nose is literally out of this world. Add all the significance of the Christmas story songs you’ve ever heard and that is something else, but to die on a cross too, that is absolutely beyond remarkable. In God's perfect and holy will Jesus lived a selfless, obedient life and then sacrificially He suffered a gruesome martyr's death all for us.  Keep in mind before He carried the cross on His back to Golgotha the place of the skull, He was beaten, mocked ridiculed and also betrayed by His best friends in the world.  It was an agonizing, humbling death on a cross, which was the most terrible, treacherous and torturing way to die.  So in summary, He came from heaven to earth to show the way - From the earth to the cross my debt to pay - From the cross to the grave, From the grave to the sky... 10-11 Yes, God lifted His name on high!  God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow and I mean every single knee, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess (even the devil and the demons and everyone who disowned Him) that precious and beautiful name of Jesus Christ is Lord.  He is Lord! He is Lord! Yes, He is Lord! He has risen from the dead and He is Lord… to the glory of God the Father.

12-13 Okay friends here is my point, whether I'm personally around you or not keep on obeying God wholeheartedly. This is super important! Continue to fear God for who He really is in a reverent respect and abiding awe.  God is working in you.  His perfect will is flowing out of your lives according to the purposes He has. Keep it up!  14 In everything you do drop the whining complaints and lose the nit-picking arguments.  15-16 This way your testimony will speak for itself.  You'll be blameless and pure, showing the abundant life, unlike the worldly generation around you that is going down the tubes fast.  The things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace as you shine brightly ministering out into the world.  You insert your name here are a powerhouse of hope, a laser lighthouse of love brightly shining star for those trapped in the darkness who need rescued.  Acknowledge this tremendous privilege and boldly carry on, passing this torch and spreading the word of God that gives eternal life explaining how lost man can be with Jesus for eternity.  This is why you're running the race of faith and pressing on.  Meanwhile I'll be super proud of you all at the triumphant sky crack return of Jesus, knowing that my prayers, coaching and discipleship mentoring investment that I relentlessly gave you was indeed an advantageous edge well worth at all the time and effort. Yahoo! 17 I am willing to die for you if need be just to be an influence in your walk with Jesus.  My life is like a drink offering for the Lord. 18 Join me and let us rejoice together no matter what.  Say hey...ho, say hey... ho.

19-20 It's my hope that in God's perfect timing Timothy could catch a ride your way.  I sure would be stoked about that setup for he is like no other and he really has a heart for you. 21-24 Most people look out for just themselves and not the cause of Christ, but you know Tim is all about Him and he is the man for God.  We have enjoyed a father and son type of relationship working together getting the word out about Jesus.  So I hope to send him to you asap depending on how things go down here. I am also nearly certain that the Lord will be leading me to you as well. 25 Also I'm getting the signal that it's time to send back to you Epaphroditus, who you sent my way to help out.  He is a dear brother in the Lord and a sold out soldier for the cause of Christ. He misses you all big-time and realizes you knew he was sick. 27 He sure was sick and he almost died, the God had mercy on him and me bypassing a potentially sad situation. 28-30 So I'm ready to send the “Papmiester” your way so you can be glad and less concerned about him when you all get together.  Hey make it a point to show him a great welcome that reflects the joy of the Lord we all have for him.  Give him some kind of tribute in honor of his service since he almost laid down his life for the ministry that we all share together. Whatta guy!
