Light Along Moral Path
Pslam 119:105
This book will keep you from sin,
or sin will keep you from this book.
Therefore everyone who hears these words
of mine and puts them into practice is like a
wise man who built his house on the rock.
Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
But these are written that you may believe
that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that
by believing you may have life in his name.
“Now I commit you to God and to the word
of his grace, which can build you up and give you
an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
For everything that was written in the past was
written to teach us, so that through endurance
and the encouragement of the Scriptures
we might have hope.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you
teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and
as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude
in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether
in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.
We must pay more careful attention, therefore,
to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk,
so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,
now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
The Devil comes at us with billboards, blockbuster
movies, magazines and top 40 hits; We can’t approach
the bible only by sitting down for a read when convenient.
We must create ways for scripture to catch our attention,
whether that be listening to scripture songs, pasting up
verses over the television or meditating in the shower.
Scripture: It’s a road map for your life.
It’s a blueprint for God’s will. It’s your command
orders from heaven – it’s the real thing – it’s the
only thing – it’s God’s word, it’s the Bible.
The Holy Scriptures are our letters from home.
No man can use his Bible with power unless
he has the character of Jesus in his heart.
