If you don’t know you’re in a war, the adversary has a great advantage.
The enemies we face in the spiritual realm contemplate and communicate,
scheme and spy, connive and conceive, while plotting and planning strategies
against you. We must be watchful, wise and attentive to the Lord.
Recognition is essential in claiming the victory in Christ over the devil
that has already been won on the cross.
God’s Word urges us to be alert. The devil is described as a roaring lion
that seeks to kill, steal and destroy. Be alert instead of ignorant, devoted
rather than deceived, cautious rather than careless. We must "stand firm
against the devil's schemes." Where there is light, darkness cannot prevail.
As long as we live in this world, temptation will be lurking around the
corner. We must hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, knowing by faith
God will always be with us. God will never allow any temptation in our life
that we cannot escape from with His help. We can face temptation boldly with
the assurance that by His grace we can always overcome it.

God has a solution before we even know we have a problem. When it comes
to darkness we must reflect the light of Jesus. Once you recognize what the
devil is up to, ignore it and avoid it. Don’t put up with it. Do a U-turn,
180 degrees if you need to!

The bible tells us to "resist the devil and he will flee from you." You
have to take the step. Say this prayer, "Jesus in your name I ask you to
conquer the devil’s strategy right now." The trial may reoccur, but as you
realize your spiritual authority in Christ, you can begin to see how God
uses trials in our life to test our faith. This testing produces hope and
perseverance. James 1:2-3
Remind yourself who you are in the Lord. Fix your heart on Jesus and
focus your eyes toward heaven. Humble yourself before the Lord and He will
lift you up. Resist the devil’s damage. Just say no and let it go. Nothing
defeats the devil faster than quoting scripture, just as Jesus did when
tempted in the wilderness. Refuse evil sources and forces in your life. Pray
for victory. Stand on God’s promises. Let Jesus be the hero!

Don't allow footholds of doubt to take root in your life. Rejoice in the
Lord. Recite scripture, sing a hymn and meditate on God’s powerful
provision. Replace evil with good. Fill your life with activities and godly
thoughts that are praiseworthy and edifying.

Satan tries to convince Christians not to confess sin to avoid losing the
respect of others. Consistent accountability to others provides a force
field shield of safety and security. When your heart is guarded for future
fallout, a stealth bomber of support encourages you and can minister to
others. – Dave Davidson
