Our goal is to compile "Chicken Soup for the Missionary Soul." We are currently in the creating the proposal process to present to the Chicken Soup acquisition editors. Dave has already met the authors and editors at a convention and knows the process enough to only propose when he feels the idea is ready and better researched. You can help as a researcher or writer and depending on your involvement can earn royalties and a possible byline. This is not, I repeat not a gig yet. If you feel you have or know of a story about a missionary or a mission's experience that meets the Chicken Soup guidelines, please email Dave at Surge Up to get in on the proposal. Upon acceptance of the book as an official title a co-author will also be chosen to tackle the project. Other editorial jobs may also be available. If the book is published and your story is chosen the payout is $300, but do not submit to Chicken Soup yet. They will not know what you are referring to. There is a very structured content research and marketing development process for a Chicken Soup book so we must go in the proper order. Anyone who submits to Surge Up will automatically be notified when our arrangements with Chicken Soup are finalized. We will keep you in the loop.
